The Talking Mats Foundation Training is available through Zyteq.

Zyteq is now the Australian appointed official partner to Talking Mats in Scotland.

Tracey Bode is Australia’s first Accredited Trainer and able to offer Foundation Training in Talking Mats.

Why Training?

  • While Talking Mats may appear to be a simple tool, the training provides a framework to be an effective "Listener".
  • The communication is made easy for the "thinker" because the "listener" employs specific strategies within the framework.
  • The Foundation Training is available in two format:
  • One day training is available which works well for training in locations other than Melbourne as it contains the costs.
  • The 2 part training is structured to allow participants time to reflect and develop their own communication skills between the two sessions.
  • This consists of 2 x half day sessions approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart.
  • Participants attending official Talking Mats training are registered with Talking Mats in Scotland.
  • This ensures the integrity of the framework and consistent evidence based application.

Location:

  • Two part training sessions are scheduled regularly, to be held at Zyteq in Bay Street, Port Melbourne.
  • It is also possible to arrange training for your organisation or group on-site at your facility.
  • The one day training is available all around Australia at your location.
  • Dates will be available for those who wish to join training and are not part of an organisation's training.
  • People interested in Talking Mats training should contact Zyteq.
